Women's Weekly

I'm over the moon to have my illustration in this month's Women's Weekly. The front cover has the Obamas on the front and high tea recipes. It's a bloody awesome issue and I am so happy to be in this issue.

It's been super hot this weekend, I spent yesterday buying some birkenstocks had a really nice pub lunch whilst Darren watched the AFL match on the screen. This was followed by a big Italian birthday celebration where they had the tastiest food....drool. I didn't get home until really late and slept in today, I thought I would give myself a few extra hours since I woke up at 5am on Saturday.

Qbism iPhone App - Out Now

I'm a little sleepy for a Sunday afternoon....maybe it's because I've eaten so much :-) and spent all morning helping Darren with his essay writing :-( I'm just listening to Hot Chip which I am rather enjoying.

Anyways some interesting iPhone technological news for you all....check out this Qbism game. It is created by Kylie's (who I work with) sister and her sister's husband. It's a really simple concept with fantastic graphics. The aim is to fill the empty frame with cubes all in a 3D rotating platform. Qbism launched yesterday and is available for download in the iTunes store for $1.99US. Bargain price to keep you entertained for a good few hours. How amazingly talented they are.

*Update* Thoroughly enjoying Qbism on my iphone to the point of blurry eyes...loving the 3Dness of it

Chinese Whispers - I drew this on the train on the way home from work today. I hope you like it. I'm going to make a few versions of this with different colour schemes.

GGGirls

Some mid-week girly sketches for you. Quick and easy. Work seems to be sucking the creativity out of me...or maybe it's the idiot box. I should turn it off and draw more.

My First Mini Book

I love all things mini- they just seem to be more pleasing to the eye. This is the first mini book I have made. I'm going to make a few of these....I just need to think of some stories to write.
For now to kick start I have made a very short mini book of my illustrations along with some words.
I watched Spongebob Squarepants the movie this morning. It made me laugh alot. My twin nephews (who are 4 years old) also like Spongebob so I have bought them the DVD plus season 1 for their collection along with some Button Moon, Fireman Sam and funnily enough Ice Road Truckers. Who would have thought two 4 yr old kids would enjoy Ice Road Truckers? But they do...they alarmingly seem to have the same taste in tv viewing as I do.

Above is Gary pepper in a vintage gold floral dress. I drew her last night after watching Precious which is an amazing film. I seemed to have watched alot of things this weekend....

Tulle Girl

This is Tulle Girl - I drew her today when I got home from work. It's going to be an early night for me because I have to get up at 5.30am to get an early flight to Melbourne for work. It will be nice to see a fleeting glance of Melbourne for one day only....alas I will be doing work things and won't have any time to see the beautiful art galleries and coffee shops. It is definitely on my list to visit this year!
