T h e B a l l o o n G i r l

This is balloon girl. A pen drawing I did today. It looks as if she's trying to float far away, up into the air but someone's holding her back. I'm going to work a bit more on this concept, I like the idea of the arm, the hand can hold onto anything...so plenty of ideas pop into my mind.

Update on the guitar playing: It's still chugging along nicely, learnt a few chords and Darren says I'm getting better (he's the expert). I'm still enjoying it although one of my fingers feels a bit numb. Nevermind, onwards and upwards!!

Thanks Ben, always nice to read a comment from you. All this blogging is really motivating for my drawing I think.

I agree with you that hands are really hard to draw, so are faces. I can draw realistic looking faces but they never look like the person I am drawing. Would love to master portraiture.
